We've been engaged by Red Bull to produce action clips of each leg of the 2017/18 Volvo Ocean Race. With a tonne of great content already out there, the brief on these was to create something unique by not focussing so much on the race, but rather find the 'story' of the leg. What we came up with showcases the relentlessness, danger, thrill and beauty of this epic adventure, all packaged in a way that is easy to understand for Red Bull's audience, who may not necessarily be sailing fans. Watch out for other productions for Red Bull and the Volvo Ocean Race coming mid 2018! we have a bit of history with the Volvo Hamish was a on board media man  for Camper  ( and chief Fish feeder by all accounts as well .....) James ( who also has worked on a few Volvos himself )  is the lead on these edits and spends hours apon hours combing through the footage to make his stories  and hes not half bad at it ......   enjoy the first clip with more

Shortly after a 7.5 magnitude earthquake shook Kaikoura, Kiwi Rail immediately shut down all of its South Island services. 200 kilometres of track and structures were affected. There were over 100 slips and 59 damaged bridges. In the coming nine months, 1500 Kiwi Rail staff would work tirelessly to redesign and restructure a ‘munted’ part of New Zealand.

With it being winter in New Zealand, you get a job to fly to the other side of the planet in the middle of the northern summer and expect a bit of the warm weather. I guess I didn't do my research and find out the annual average temperature is only 5 degrees for St Petersburg Russia, which is where we find ourselves on another job at the Extreme Sailing series filming more sailing. The upside of being this far north in the world is that it barely gets dark in the height of summer. This video was filmed in the three cold hours that the sun deciders to dip below the horizon.
